After almost five and half months later, there would be free movement of traffic along the borders and more importantly the Bars in the State would open, which would pave way for the tourism industry to flourish once again after COVID19.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant announced that the State will follow the MHA guidelines on Unlock 4.0 from tomorrow, September 1.
Sawant said that “movement of people will be allowed from tomorrow and tests would not be mandatory.”
As on date, the tests @Rs 2000 was mandatory or the traveler had to get a COVID19 certificate or a 14-day home quarantine was mandatory.
“The borders will open from tomorrow so also the Bars & restaurants will be open which were closed for five months,” Chief Minister declared at the media briefing.
He said even as the borders and bars are opened there would be strict monitoring on social distancing, masks.
“People must follow all guidelines and also use sanitisers have to be followed,” he said.
He said that the places of worships must also follow all the guidelines.
“There has been no decision viz-a-viz education Education sector as no decision yet has been as per new MHA guidelines,” he said replying to a query adding that a decision could be reached after September 21.
About the unnecessary controversy regarding the Ganesh festival statement, Sawant said that the opposition has a habit of making a mountain out of a molehill.
“People can themselves compare cases before and after Ganesh Chaturthi. We did not follow social distancing and this is a fact. I did not say it increased due to Ganesh Chaturthi,” he said.
