St Jacinto Island residents have expressed grave concerns over their houses and church on tbe Island missing from the CZMP Plans . Angry residents later arrived at Chicalim Panchayat to meet the sarpanch Sebastian Pereira who informed them that a fresh plan would be sent to authorities with request to include the houses in the CZMP and to remove St Jacinto Island from the port limits.
A resident said that chicalim was the first panchayat to send the peoples draft on CZMP with every thing properly marked but the residebts were shocked when their houses, land and church were not reflected and the Island was put in the port limits.
Meanwhile sarpanch Sebestian Pereira said that many of the aspects were considered but the Island was put in port limits. Pereira said that the he had again sent the plan to authorities with a request to exclude St Jacinto Island from CZMP and include houses and land in the cZMP as per the earlier CZMP made by villagers themselves
