    Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant kicked off the FIFA #U17WWC Women’s World Cup in the presence of Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Shri Govind Gaude, Arjun Awardee Goan Footballer Shri Brahmanand Shankhwalkar, Football legend Bruno Cotinho, Smt. Valanka Alemao, Goa Chief Secretary, Ministers, MLAs and Football lovers of Goa. “Goa has been a centre of Football, and former Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar declared it a State Sport. The Govt. of Goa has been consistently supporting the development of Football culture and building the infrastructure for the development of the sport. I thank Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Shri Anurag Thakur ji for allowing Goa to host the Under 17 Women’s World Cup. My best wishes to all the participating teams for the tournament,” CM said.
