BENAULIM: Veteran politician Churchill Alemao has announced that he will contest the 2027 Goa Assembly elections from the Benaulim constituency.
Alemao, a former Minister and Benaulim MLA, cited the lack of development in the area over the past three and a half years under the current MLA. He described the incumbent as “arrogant” and accused him of failing to deliver on development promises.
“During my tenure as Minister and MLA, I carried out numerous development works in Benaulim. Villagers have approached me expressing their desire for me to contest the next elections. Therefore, I will be contesting the 2027 Goa Assembly polls,” Alemao said.
