PANAJI: The AFC Futsal Level 1 Coaching Course concluded successfully with a closing ceremony attended by prominent figures in the football community. Present at the event were Angelo Albuquerque (Competition Director of SCG), Nicholas Albuquerque, and Savio Medeira (Technical Director) all of Sporting Clube de Goa.
The SCG U-15 boys’ team were actively involved throughout the day, serving as the demonstration team for the practical assessments conducted by the course participants. Their participation provided a valuable real-time experience for the coaches.
The course was expertly conducted by Joshua Vaz, the National Futsal Coach and AFC Coach Educator.
The course was designed to enhance the coaching skills of participants by offering detailed insights into Futsal techniques, tactics and strategies. Joshua Vaz led the sessions with expertise and enthusiasm, ensuring all participants gained valuable knowledge of Futsal.
During the closing ceremony, Angelo Albuquerque delivered a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Goa Football Association (GFA), the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the Chowgule Sports Centre, and the Chowgule Education Society for their unwavering support and the use of their facilities, which greatly contributed to the success of the course.
