PONDA: The war over taking credit for free water doesn’t seem to die down as the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant during his Shiroda Contituency tour today once again targeted former PWD Minister Sudin Dhavlikar.
Sawant said he is appreciated by people for his decision for sacking former PWD Minister Sudin Dhavlikar from Cabinet.
“Sacking Sudin from Cabinet was a good decision. Free water scheme was not possible for Goans if Sudin continued as PWD Minister,” he said.
CM further said Marcaim MLA Sudin was holding PWD Portfolio for twenty years, he did nothing, and now he is talking about plans to give free water.
He even attacked Congress, saying that they went to the Governor with demand for dissolving his government because of the free water scheme.
After laying the foundation stone for the Rs 12 crore development project comprising of Shiroda Market Complex with forty shops, community Hall and Panchayat Ghar, CM also inaugurated Shrikrishna Temple Hall.
On the occasion, Shiroda MLA Subash Shirodkar, former MP Narendra Savoikar, Shiroda BJP President Suraj Naik, Sarpanch Ameet Shirodkar, ZP Deepak Naik Borkar were present.
He also laid the foundation stone for Rs 5 crore road construction work at Panchwadi Panchayat, and Rs 2 Crore water pipeline at Bethora beside development works at Borim Panchayat.
Chief Minister said the government has launched 165 schemes for goans. He appealed to the Goans to come one step forward to benefit from the schemes, approach Sswayampurna Mitra in every panchayat and become self-reliant.
He said that 6000 posts are advertised on employment, and the remaining 4000 will be advertised soon.
