PANAJI: Goa Congress has launched a sharp political attack on the BJP over its newly constructed party office, dubbing it “Chanda Chori Bhavan” and questioning the source of funds used for the building.
In a social media post, Congress mocked the BJP by referring to it as the “Bhrasht Janta Party” and alleged that the new office had been built using “questionable donations”.
The Congress’ remarks have triggered a fresh political face-off with the BJP, which has strongly defended the construction of its new office and maintained that it was built with the contributions and efforts of party workers.
The BJP has described the office as a long-pending dream of its Goa unit. Party leaders have also said that the land was purchased and the foundation stone laid several years ago.
