Ponda: The Consumer Welfare Club (CWC) at PES’s Ravi S. Naik Higher Secondary School in Farmagudi, Ponda, was inaugurated today by Dr. Gaurav Gopal Naik, Assistant Director of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Ponda Taluka.
Dr. Naik took the opportunity to enlighten students about their consumer rights and responsibilities. During his talk, he explained various consumer rights, the role of the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, and the importance of being informed consumers.
In addition to the informative session, the event also featured competitions in poster making and essay writing. These activities encouraged students to creatively express their understanding of consumer welfare. Prizes were awarded to the winners of these competitions.
The event was coordinated by Principal Smt. Gayatri Kanekar and CWC Coordinator Ms. Pooja Palyekar. The inauguration marks the beginning of an initiative aimed at fostering awareness and empowering students in matters of consumer rights and protection.
