VAGATOR: An unidentified male body was found on Vagator beach.
The man, who was dressed in brown slacks and a T-shirt, looked to be in his 25s or 30s, according to Anjuna Police.
Early in the morning, the on-duty lifeguards discovered the body and quickly called the police.
According to a police official, the body had no obvious wounds, and preliminary findings point to drowning as the possible cause of death.
The authorities have chosen to preserve the body until someone can claim it because the deceased’s identification is still unclear.
To determine the precise cause of death, the body will then be sent for a post-mortem.
The case has been reported to Anjuna Police as an unnatural death.
