PONDA: Despite opposition from Parents, work on the mobile tower continues at Talavalim.
Taking note of it, Talavalim Mahalaxmi High School, Pre-primary and Primary School Association held a meeting and demanded with Chief Minister to shift the Mobile tower.
The Parent Teachers Associations of Mahalaxmi English Highschools, as well as its Pre-Primary and Primary School Association, today, in a meeting held at School Premises, passed a resolution to shift the Mobile Tower coming up in the premises of GPS at Bhedshem Talavalim.
Around 450 students of Mahalaxmi School Complex and around 50 students are learning in GPS Bhedshem school. Already Parents of the GPS school had opposed the tower on GPS Premises.
However, the mobile company is adamant about its decision to construct a tower as they have the permission of the Education and PWD Department.
The Parents of Mahalaxmi High School said they are not against the tower, but it should be away from school. They asked the Management of the School to immediately submit a letter to the Chief Minister, who is also the education Minister, PWD Minister, Director of Education, Deputy Collector, ADEI Ponda, Sarpanch of Wadi Talavalim to shift the tower away from the School.
The Parents were upset that instead of paying heed to their demand, the mobile company adamantly continued to lay of foundation for the mobile tower.
