PORVORIM: Following his clarification that Pooja Sharma did not receive her mutation certificate within a day, Revenue Minister Babush Monserratte has urged reporters to “do investigative journalism, rather than go around with a camera and ask questions.”
Speaking with reporters outside the Assembly complex, Monserratte said that mutations are acceptable as long as they are carried out within a day.
We serve the general public here. Within a day, find out how many Goans received mutation certificates. Head out and investigate. Investigative journalism is crucial for you; don’t merely walk around asking questions with a camera.
The minister responded, “I have replied as per the fact on the floor of the House for demands,” when asked about opposition MLA Vijai Sardesai’s departure and his accusations that Monserratte had ignored their questions during the demands for grants. I have responded in whatever way that was required. We have reacted to everything they have asked as a cut motion. Their cut motion was without merit.
The South Goa Collectorate is a brand-new structure. The repairs have been ongoing, he stated.
