PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that the government is committed to resolving all the dwelling rights cases in a phased manner.
“With only 3 % of tribals who have been given dwelling rights in the forests out of the 10 thousand cases, CM Sawant informed that the government will resolve all the cases in a phased manner,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that despite the SC/ST act being formulated in 2010, the implementation began under Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar when he was the SC/ST Commissioner.
“The work on establishing Tribal Research Centre as well as Tribal Museum in Goa will be fast-tracked,” he said.
Sawant also said that Government is committed to seeing that every citizen gets equal rights and justice.
“The Commission created the requisite awareness about actual cases which need to come to the commission. Regarding Forest Rights cases, he said, a road map will be devised by taking all concerned authorities to expedite the cases and called upon everyone to work together to see that the backward class join the main flow of development,” he added.
