BICHOLIM: The Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant, stated that he would solve the custodian issue and take up applications in the Bicholim deputy collector’s office, which were earlier taken at Panjim.
During his visit to Mayem, CM also handed over sanads to 100 villagers in Mayem.
“I call upon those who have not applied for their rights as per the law should apply with necessary documents. The hearing of the cases would now be taken up at Bicholim rather than at Panaji,” he said.
He said that his government, along with infrastructure development, has had also carried out human development.
“We were earlier dependent upon neighbouring states now; we are supplying vegetables to another state. I request all to support us to make this state swayampurna,” he stated.
The CM was speaking after laying the foundation stone of the water pipeline from Poira to Mayem.
The CM said that only BJP is solving most of the issues of Mayem. “I have a wish to solve all the problems of the state. During this Covid, we tried to help those who suffered a loss. Our government is giving free water, which was not done since last several years,” he said.
PWD minister Deepak Pawaskar stated that his government is taking up development in all the constituencies. He said that the water pipeline would benefit about 9000 locals.
“We are doing several works through District mineral fund. Through Jal Jeevan, 300 crore work will be taken up. Our vision is to supply quality water to every household,” Pawaskar stated.
The Mayem MLA, Pravin Zantye, said that there is a lot of development in the Mayem constituency. “In Mayem, there are four panchayats which are undermining. Mayem lake would also be developed, which would help locals.”
He said that the evacuee property would also be solved by the government. He appealed to the CM to give maximum jobs to Mayem youths.
