PANJIM: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa Convenor Elvis Gomes today stepped down from his post claiming he wants to work for the party at the grassroot level.
Soon after stepping down, Elvis nominated his partymen Rahul Mahambrey as the new Convenor of AAP Goa unit.
“I have stepped down from the post of Convenor as I want to work for the state at the grassroot level. AAP is now well established. This decision to step down is taken is in the party’s interest,” Elvis said
Gomes said the administrative collapse was staring the government its face due to poor management of COVID and the resultant bankruptcy looming large.
Soon after taking over charge as Convenor, Rahul Mahambrey clarified that Elvis Gomes and Pradeep Padgaonkar are still an integral part of the party.
Pradeep Padgaonkar had recently stepped down citing health reasons.
