CANACONA: Money is earned by everyone, but only a selected few have the tendency to donate money for social causes, stated Canacna MLA and Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar,
Tawadkar was speaking at the launch of Lottery by Chaudi Sarvajanik Ganeshotshav Mandal on Friday. Speaking on this occasion, Speaker said that anyone can earn money but a charity attitude is rarely seen, but this Sarvajanik Ganeshotshav Mandal (Chaudi) has a history of providing social assistance through financing various activities.
Chaudi Sarvajanik Ganeshotshav Mandal provided useful materials to the ShramDham House beneficiaries built the Balram Charitable Foundation besides giving financial support/assistance to some of the needy families on the occasion.
And the Annual Lottery was also launched on the occasion
At that time, CMC Chairperson Ramakant Naik Gaonkar, Deputy Chairperson Narcisco Fernandes, Councilor and former Chairperson Simon Rebello, Councilor and
Dy Chairperson Laxuman Pagi, Councilor and former Dy. Chairperson Hemant Kumar Naik Gaonkar, Councilor Sara Shambha Desai, Councillor and former chairperson Neetu Sameer Desai, Councillors Amita Pagi, Councillor Gandesh Madgaonkar and Dheeraj Naik Gaonkar were present.
Canacona BJP Mandal President Vishal Desai, CMC chief officer Madhu Narvekar, Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, Chaudi President Deepak Naik Gaonkar Desai, Poinguinim panch Mahesh Naik were also present amongst others.
