PANAJI: The BJP State President and MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade stated on Monday that everything is OK in the Pramod Sawant-led cabinet and that the ministers are functioning well, likely putting an end to all the rumors of a potential cabinet upheaval.
However, he acknowledged that there is a lack of communication between the public and the ministers, and the chief minister has been instructed to ensure that the ministers engage with the people more frequently in order to gain understanding of and address their daily problems.
According to Tanavade, the chief minister has the authority to reorganize the cabinet. The reshuffle will be decided by the Chief Minister after consulting with the central leadership. However, I think everything is ok inside, and the ministers are performing well,” he stated.
The possibility of rearranging the Sawant-led government to make room for Congress turncoats has been the talk of the state for the past few months. Tanavade had alluded to the anticipated growth this year earlier this month. Throughout 2024, the news remained speculative as the BJP missed multiple deadlines.
Tanavade, meanwhile, stated that a fresh face has to be given the chance to lead the BJP in the future. “Every ardent BJP worker is capable of taking the responsibility,” he remarked.
