MAPUSA: In a filmy style robbery, unidentified burglars decamped with jewellery worth Rs 2 lakhs from a store in Mapusa, where they entered by drilling a hole into the wall.
As per information, the thieves decamped with 5 kgs of silver. Mapusa Police has registered an FIR against unknown persons U/sec 457, 380 IPC and investigation is on.
The complaint was filed by owner Siddharth Ramesh Sangodkar, aged 45 years R/o Mollembhat, Saligao, Bardez, Goa.
The police said that the thieves entered the jewellery shop by digging a hole on the shop’s rear wall and decamped with Silver items, all weighing 4 Kg W/Rs 2,00,000, approximately belonging to the complainant from inside the shop.
“We are investigating the matter, and as per our primary investigation, it has been found that silver items have been stolen from the shop of approximately Rs 2 lakh in value,” said Mapusa Police.
