Former Sports Minister Francisco Monte Cruz has passed away at 79. He breathed his last early this morning.
Cruz is credited for the completion of the Nehru Stadium at Fatorda in a record six months during the 80s. Former Benaulim MLA Cruz was born on March 21, 1945.
“Saddened to learn about the demise of Former Cabinet Minister of Goa Shri Fransisco Monte Cruz. His contribution to the development of the state shall always be remembered. My deepest condolences to the family” said CM Pramod Sawant.
