BAMBOLIM: The locals have strongly objected to the new concrete road construction near the super speciality block at Bambolim for the upcoming G20 summit.
The locals gathered at large as the district administration ordered the demolition of Gaddas, located on either side of the road.
The authorities inspected kiosks at the entry and exit of the multi-speciality hospital Bambolim.
“What is the need for this road, there is haphazard parking going on here, and there is not even a place for our villagers to enter their own village,” said a local.
He further said that the entire Super Speciality Block is completely illegal and does not have any permissions.
“Now, with this new road, more cars will be parked here; why don’t they create a parking space on the campus,” he added.
The locals claim that despite letters to the Health minister, Chief minister and collector, there is no response,” he added.
Meanwhile, the locals have demanded the intervention of the Chief Minister to immediately stop the construction works for the new road.
