PANAJI: Goyche Fuddle Pillge Khatir (GFPK) today has approached the DGP Goa to ban the Sunburn festival linked to drug abuse and noise pollution.
“As the highest authority in the Police in Goa, we request you to please recommend to the Government the cancellation of Sunburn in Goa, as the event is being opposed by most people in the State,” said Jack Mascarenhas President, GFPK
He further said that not only because of noise pollution and disruption of their daily routine but also because of its ill effects on our youth, due to its past record and consumption of drugs, which needs to be eradicated in Goa.
“The event, if proposed to be held, is likely to create a law-and-order problem in the State,” he added.
