VASCO: Forest Department, South Goa Division, Margao, in collaboration with Goa Police, celebrated Vanmohotsav in the premises of Headland Sada Police Station Mormugao Goa.
In the presence of Councilor Smt. Shraddha S. Amonkar, DySP Salim Sheikh, Asst. Conservator of Forest, Dyaneshwar Kudalkar, Police Inspector Alvito Fernandes, Range Forest Office Mahanand Paryekar, Headmaster of Government school Umesh Naik, along with the staff of the Govt. school and students.
The program started with the welcoming of the Guest with flowers, PI Alvito Fernandes welcomed the Guest while speaking on the occasion chief guest Smt. Shraddha Amonkar urged the students and people present to plant more and more trees for a sustainable Eco – System.
DySP Salim Sheikh thanked the forest department for taking such initiative to celebrate Vanmohatsav in collaboration with the police Department.
Expressing the views on the occasion, the Range Forest Officer, Mahanand Paryekar, requested the students present to reuse and recycle the products which are obtained from plants and trees.
A special drama giving a message to protect the environment was performed by the Students of Govt. School.
The program was hosted by Gourish Naik, who also proposed a vote of thanks.
Nearly 50 saplings were distributed to the students and people present, and around 25 saplings were planted in the premises by the Guests.
