PANAJI: The Goa Government has revised its earlier holiday notification and declared Wednesday, August 26, 2026, as a “Special Holiday” in the State on account of Milad-Un-Nabi or Id-e-Milad.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department on August 24, the holiday earlier scheduled for August 25 has been shifted to August 26.
The order partially modifies the government notification dated September 30, 2025, read with the corrigendum issued on October 7, 2025.
The revised notification states that August 26, 2026, corresponding to 04 Bhadra 1948, will be observed as a Special Holiday throughout the State of Goa in place of August 25.
