PANAJI: Goa government inaugurated the State-of-the-Art mobile cancer detection van on Thursday provided through BHEL’s CSR and manufactured by CDAC Kerala.
“It was an inspiring moment as we inaugurated the State-of-the-Art mobile cancer detection van! I am deeply grateful to Shripad Bahu for his gracious presence and support for this noble initiative. Provided through BHEL’s CSR and manufactured by CDAC Kerala, the van signifies a major step in our #FightAgainstCancer. Heartfelt thanks to BHEL and CDAC for their invaluable support,” said Health Minister Vishwajit Rane.
He said the van is equipped with cutting-edge technology like a blood cell counter, immunoanalyser, digital mammography machine, ultrasound machine, and facilities for colposcopy and cryosurgery, the van is set to make a significant impact.
“Experts from CDAC Kerala will train our medical staff over the next three days. Our first camp will be at RHTC Mandur on July 23rd, followed by more across Goa,” he said.
Rane added, “We remain committed to fighting cancer on a mission mode in Goa and will continue to introduce transformative initiatives for the state. “
