PANAJI: The High Court of Bombay at Goa today has refused to entertain the petition filed by Pastor Dominic DSouza and his wife challenging show cause notice issued by North Collector for the externment hearing.
Domnic D’Souza, Pastor of Five Pillars Church, Sodiem-Siolim and his wife Joan Mascarenhas E D’Souza on Friday appeared before the North Goa Collector regarding externment proceedings initiated against them by the Goa Police.
During the hearing before the Collector, Adv Ankur Kumar representing the D’Souza couple filed an application requesting for a copy of the police report filed against them.
The Collector gave him the copy of the report and posted the matter for next hearing on January 19.
The court however, has given liberty to the petitioners to approach again if the externment order is passed against the duo by the district collector.
Goa Police had arrested a church pastor, alleging his involvement in conversion and black magic activities.
Pastor Dominic D Souza, from the Five Pillar Church, was apprehended by the Mapusa police. Jivba Dalvi, Mapusa Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) said that a case has been registered against the pastor and his associates.
