PANAJI: Environment Minister Nilesh Cabral today said that Goa is the highest fossil fuel consumption in the country regarding population ratio.
“Goa is the highest fossil fuels consumed in the country in regards to population ratio; Sustainable development model should be more focused in Goa,” said Cabral.
He further said that Goa will soon get seven more wetlands, environment minister Nilesh Cabral said during the International Day for Biological Diversity celebrations by the Goa state biodiversity board (GSBB).
“”From no wetlands, we have seven wetlands today. We will be notifying six more wetlands soon. The state is also in the process of preparing its biodiversity strategy and action plan,” he added.
In the latest round, PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral said that one lane of the eight-lane Zuari Bridge will be opened either by June or July end.
It will be the first round or a working round, said Cabral while addressing a gathering.
