PANAJI: One Shabir Ali Balur was arrested by Mapusa police for snatching of mobile.
Information was received from Mapusa PS that mobile snatching case is reported last week.
According information was developed and it is revealed that accused Shabir s/o Hazarat Ali Balur age 23 yrs r/o Odda Vadi Candolim Bardez Goa who was previously invovled in Saligao PS Crime No 25/2019 u/sec 394 r/w 34 IPC is suspected to be also involved in above crime. Accordingly the accused was apprehended from near Saligao Church, while escaping from the spot on sensing police presence.
During enquiry he failed to give satisfactory reply and also failed to justify his presence.
As such he was placed under arrest u/sec 41 CrPC. During interrogation he admitted the commission of the above crime. Further arrangement are kept to hand over the accused to Mapusa Police station.
