MAPUSA: Mapusa police has arrested four bengaluru residents for abduction of hair salon staff on Tuesday.
On October 10, Zakir S/o Sabir Ahmed R/o Porvorim, Bardez, Goa N/o Amroha, Uttar Pradesh owner of Mr. 88 Hair Cutting Saloon at Moira, Bardez, Goa lodged his complaint regarding that on 10.10.2023 at 14.00 hrs four Male occupants of golden colour car trespassed into his Saloon and abducted his staff namely Zunaid S/o Zafeer aged 25 years R/o Porvorim, N/o Uttar Pradesh.
In this respect Mapusa Police Station registered FIR under sections 451, 342, 365 R/w 34 IPC and investigation was taken up.
SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi informed that different teams were constituted to collect the intelligence in respect of
accused involved and information in respect of vehicle along with victim and accused was shared with Police Stations in Goa.
Further, staff moved in and around the locality and collected CCTV footages from different spots and were thoroughly scrutinized and perused.
Further, acting on the intelligent inputs provided by staff of Mapusa Police Station in joint operating with PI Old Goa and staff of Mapusa and Old Goa Police Station intercepted Car bearing No. KA-01-ME-3851 was at Old Goa and rescued Victim Mr. Zunaid and Four Males were taken in to custody along with car. Car bearing No. KA-01-ME-3851 is attached in this case .
Further, four males were arrested on 10.10.2023 and the names of Persons arrested are
1. Mr. Yaseen Ali Baig S/o Ajaz Ali Baig, aged 21 years
2. Mr. Ahamed Shariff S/o Manzoor, aged 30 years. 3. Mr. Navaj M D S/o M D Khan Pasha, aged 36 years and
4 Mr. Navshad Ahmed S/o Shaikh Moinuddin, aged 45 years All R/o Bengaluru, Karnataka
SDPO Dalvi informed that one the relatives of the accused persons had eloped from Karnataka and the accused persons without any help from local police or karnataka Police had arrived in Goa and suspecting that the staff of the hair cutting salon had eloped with thier relative, they abducted him.
Team of Mapusa Police Station was led by PI Shitakant Nayak PSI Yashwant Mandrekar, PSI Viraj Korgaonkar, PSI Bablo Parab, LPSI Reecha Bhonsle, HC Sushant Chopdekar, PC Prakash Polekar, Akshay Patil, Anand Rathod, Rajesh Kandolkar, all of Mapusa Police Station.
Investigation is in progress under Supervision of PI Shitakant Nayak, SDPO Jivba Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valson IPS.
