SANCOALE: Goa’s chief minister, Pramod Sawant, stated on Saturday that the state government’s objective is to assist in transforming ideas into high-growth startups that draw investment. Goa places great importance on fostering a robust startup ecosystem.
Speaking at an event called “Goa Innovation and Startup Times” (GIST) at the BITS Pilani campus in Vasco, Sawant stated that the state will utilize different Central schemes to support startups while concentrating on its strengths in industries, tourism, and sustainability.
Goa prioritizes fostering a thriving startup ecosystem. His confidence in the state’s potential to become a startup hub was evident in his statement, “Our goal is to enable ideas to turn into high-growth startups and attract funding.”
According to him, Goa can generate the upcoming generation of job creators by offering market access, infrastructure, and mentoring.
The chief minister stated that in order to inspire many more young people in Goa, we need to elevate entrepreneurship as a goal for them. We should also highlight the achievements of local startups.
According to him, the state government is prepared to provide active support to businesses and startups that can help the state realize its goal of becoming a desirable center for entrepreneurship, innovation, and research.
He stated, “Our goal is to launch a whole startup ecosystem, from fostering innovative ideas and sharp minds to offering strong incubation support.”
Goa is well-positioned to emerge as India’s innovation and startup hub thanks to its favorable centers of excellence, funding sources, ease of doing business, and international partnerships, according to Sawant.
