Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte receives these prestigious awards.

PANAJI: Goa Tourism is honoured with two ET Travel World awards which were presented yesterday at a glittering function in New Delhi. Goa Tourism bagged these two prestigious awards in two different categories. Awards were received by Shri. Rohan Khaunte, Hon. Minister for Tourism & IT, Govt. of Goa, on behalf of Goa Tourism.
Goa Tourism was awarded with
Best MICE Destination of the Year in India
Best Festival organiser of the Year (cultural & state events)
The above ET Tourism Awards were accepted by Shri. Rohan Khaunte, Hon. Minister for Tourism & IT, Govt. of Goa. While interacting with media, Shri. Rohan Khaunte, Hon. Minister for Tourism & IT, said that Goa Tourism has embarked on a remarkable journey to make Goa a premier tourism destination in India. He said our focus is to promote Goa as the best wedding and, event & festival destination in the world. He added that such prestigious awards recognise hard work and encourage much better delivery.
TM Khaunte praised the dedication and efforts of a team of Goa Tourism, whose tireless work has paved the way for the Tourism Department to bag these awards. He said such recognition will always inspire upon to excel in this field. He ensured that Goa tourism will always dedicatedly work to develop basic amenities and world-class infrastructure for the tourists. Minister added further that we need sustainable and responsible Tourism in State.
Minister complimented all the Tourism stakeholders, saying this would have been impossible without their cooperation and support. Their wholehearted support is an inspiration to work with dedication, he said. Minister Khaunte also thanked Hon. PM Narendra Modi, Hon. Union Tourism Minister Shri G Kishan Reddy, Hon MoS Tourism Shri. Shripad Naik and Shri. Ajay Bhatt and Hon Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant for their kind support and mentioned that this remarkable achievement was not possible without their encouragement.
