PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has clarified that beneficiaries of the Goa Ujjwala Scheme who have already submitted their applications do not need to apply again.
Sawant said the Goa Ujjwala Yojana is an annual scheme and that new application forms have now been issued. However, beneficiaries who had already filled and submitted the earlier forms need not submit fresh applications.
The Chief Minister also explained the process involving A and B forms, stating that applications which have already been scrutinised will be processed for payment.
According to Sawant, beneficiaries whose forms have been scrutinised will start receiving the scheme benefits directly in their bank accounts from tomorrow.
The clarification is aimed at addressing confusion among beneficiaries over whether they need to submit fresh forms following the release of the new application forms.
