PANAJI: The government will extend all necessary support to the family of veteran actor Nana Patekar, the Chief Minister said following the reported demise of the celebrated actor.
Patekar’s mortal remains are currently at the GMC Mortuary, where the post-mortem examination is underway.
Expressing deep shock and sadness, the Chief Minister said Patekar’s remarkable contribution to theatre, Hindi and Marathi cinema had left an indelible mark on Indian cinema.
The Chief Minister conveyed heartfelt condolences to Patekar’s family, friends, admirers and the entire film fraternity, and prayed for the departed soul to attain Sadgati.
