PANAJI: The Goa Government has made additional application forms available at all Village Panchayats and concerned Municipalities across the state to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out of the Goa Ujjwala Scheme.
The move comes after shortages of application forms were reported from certain Village Panchayats and Municipalities. The newly supplied forms are meant for eligible beneficiaries who have not yet submitted their applications under the scheme.
Beneficiaries are required to duly fill in the forms and submit them to their respective Village Panchayat or Municipality. The local bodies will compile the applications and forward them to the concerned Taluka Office of the Assistant Director of Civil Supplies for further processing.
The Government has targeted the first disbursement under the Goa Ujjwala Scheme by September 10, 2026. However, officials clarified that the application process will not end with the first disbursement.
Acceptance of the newly supplied forms will continue thereafter, allowing eligible beneficiaries who have not yet been covered to be considered under the scheme.
The Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has directed Village Panchayats and Municipalities to facilitate the distribution and acceptance of forms and ensure that eligible beneficiaries who have been left out are informed.
