PANJIM: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that his department will induct MPHW & ANMs who will be posted round the clock at every PHC, CHC & UHC to reach out to the patients under Home isolation.
Rane today had a detailed meeting to discuss management of Home Isolation patients.
“Once the patient is registered under home isolation, the respective MPHW/ANM will reach out to the patient, guide them on the use of the kit at their disposal to monitor their saturation levels, health condition and address other concerns,” said Rane
Rane said that training will be organised for MPHW & ANMs along with health officers to impart crucial knowledge on the usage of the kit. The kit will comprise of Digital Thermometer, Oxymeter, Spirometer, Hand Sanitizer, N95 Mask, Gloves, Vitamin C & D tablet & HCQ tabletsnn
“In case of a rise in any symptom, the health officer will personally speak to the patient and shift him/her to the nearest medical facility as per his health condition.” he said
The Minister informed that he is working towards setting up a robust mechanism to reach out to every patient under home isolation.
Meanwhile, Rane also said that his main objective is to ensure database pertaining to the health condition of each patient is maintained, seamlessly reach out to patients to guide them on usage of the kit & aim to reduce mortality number in the state.
