Guirdolim club secured a final berth with a 2-0 win over Arlem Youth Association in the first semifinal played at Mandopa Ground on Monday.
Arlem Youth Association missed the first chance to score in the 5th minute when Sweden Barbosa was in the box only the goalkeeper was to beat but shot wide and then a counterattack came from Guirdolim and in progress Vitorinho Fernandes was brought down by Arlem goalkeeper in the box and referee Milagris noronha Awarded penalty which was converted by Akram Yadwad to give his team 1-0 lead
After the resumption of second half Arlem Youth Association got ample opportunity in the 30th, 44th and 50th minutes through Danny Fernandes, Garrison Fernandes and Achilles Fernandes but all failed to hit the net and Guirdolim increased their tally in the 60th minutes of play Viton Fernandes to seal the fate of Arlem Youth Association and book place in the finals
Viton Fernandes was awarded man of the match for his outstanding performance on the field by General Secretary Claudio Dias.
