Panaji: The High Court of Bombay at Goa has adjourned sine die the hearing of all petitions related to Section 17(2) of the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Act, following directions from the Supreme Court.
The Court has, however, granted liberty to the petitioners to request a hearing in the future if an exigency arises.
The matter pertains to several legal challenges involving Section 17(2), which deals with planning permissions and land use changes. The Supreme Court’s intervention has effectively put a pause on the High Court’s proceedings, pending further developments at the apex court.
