PANAJI: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has warned of strict action against anyone found involved in the alleged Goa excise job scam, making it clear that even a Superintendent of Police (SP) will face action if found complicit in the case.
“Our police team is investigating the matter in detail. We will put the person behind bars, trace his links and seize all his property. If the SP is involved, strict action will be taken against him,” Sawant said.
The Chief Minister said the police were conducting a detailed investigation to establish the facts, identify those behind the alleged scam and trace their connections. He assured that those found responsible would face action under the law.
Sawant also urged people not to blindly trust promises of government jobs or offers made through unofficial channels, cautioning them against falling prey to fraudulent recruitment claims.
