Three workers perished in a blast in the ZACL plant’s under-maintenance ammonia tank on May 3, 2022.
According to the charge document, the accused was responsible for overseeing the contracted workers performing maintenance tasks, such as opening the condensate tank’s manhole lid.
The authorities said that the workers used the incorrect instruments, which caused the explosion, because the accused failed to provide supervision. It said that “the accused endangered the life of other workers working in the vicinity by failing to supervise.”
