New Delhi: Gautam Adani on Monday said the Adani Group is building the physical foundation for India’s clean energy and digital future through large scale investments in renewable power, data centres and artificial intelligence linked infrastructure.
Addressing the CII Annual Business Summit 2026 in Delhi, Adani said the group’s projects are aimed at strengthening India’s long term technological and energy capabilities while ensuring that critical infrastructure remains within the country.
Highlighting the company’s renewable energy push, Adani said the group has already commissioned 35 per cent of its massive 30 gigawatt renewable energy project at Khavda in Gujarat. Once completed, the project is expected to become the world’s largest single site renewable energy plant and significantly reshape India’s energy landscape.
He stated that the group’s total investment commitment towards the energy transition has reached 100 billion dollars, making it one of the world’s largest clean energy investors.
Adani also outlined the group’s expansion in the data centre sector, saying integrated large scale campuses are being developed across the country. He revealed that the company, in partnership with Google, is building India’s largest gigawatt scale data centre campus in Visakhapatnam.
He added that Microsoft is another key partner in the company’s data centre initiative, while firms such as Flipkart and Uber are anchoring their data infrastructure requirements with the Adani Group.
At the recent AI Summit, the group also announced another 100 billion dollar commitment towards the data centre business. Adani said India should not depend on rented infrastructure for its artificial intelligence future and instead must develop and own critical digital infrastructure domestically.
He further stressed that the AI era would create opportunities beyond software and algorithms, generating demand for technicians, engineers, grid managers and infrastructure professionals across the country.
Through the Adani Foundation, the group has also committed Rs 60,000 crore towards education, healthcare, skilling and community development, with a growing focus on AI integrated training programmes.
Adani concluded by saying that the future does not arrive on its own but must be actively built through long term vision and infrastructure development.
