PANAJI: The shocking autopsy report, conducted at Goa Medical College (GMC) in Bambolim, unveiled that Kamakshi was the victim of a vicious attack with up to 20 knife wounds across her body.
The culprit and his accomplice, Nirupadi Kadakal, later dumped Kamakshi’s body near Amboli Ghat, according to Porvorim police. On Friday, the body of the victim was found by the police. The police have also taken possession of the car (GA-03-H-9923) that was allegedly used by the offenders to dispose of the body in Amboli.
It was also made known that Kamakshi lived on the third level of a structure in Porvorim. Prakash visited her apartment on the fatal night of August 30, which resulted in an argument between the two.
Kamakshi was allegedly repeatedly attacked by Prakash with a kitchen knife until she died tragically. Although several of the neighbours insisted they heard her cry, they were disbelieved because Prakash and Kamakshi were known to frequently argue.
Prakash is reported to have cleaned the blood off the floor after the heinous deed and called his friend Nirupadi Kadakal, who showed up at the apartment. Together, they loaded Kamakshi’s body into Prakash’s vehicle, went to Amboli Ghat, and dropped the body around 40–50 feet into a valley.
Following their Saturday court appearances, both suspects were given remands for ten days. Since then, the police have given Kamakshi’s family custody of her remains so they can perform the last rites.
