KARAPUR: The Village Panchayat of Karapur-Sarvan has issued a show cause notice to Errichter Infra Pvt. Ltd. over two No Objection Certificates (NOCs) granted for land sub-division works in Karapur village, asking the developer to justify why the permissions should not be revoked.
The notice relates to provisional sub-division approvals issued for Survey Nos. 148/0 and 176/1. The panchayat has taken the step following resolutions passed in the gram sabha and subsequent panchayat meetings.
As per the notice, the issue was discussed in the gram sabha held on 19 April 2026, where members raised concerns over the project and unanimously resolved to recommend immediate action, including issuance of a stop notice and revocation of the earlier NOCs. The resolution cited objections and issues highlighted by villagers.
The matter was later placed before the panchayat meeting held on 25 April 2026, where the body also unanimously resolved to issue a show cause notice to the developer, initiating formal proceedings for possible cancellation of the permissions.
Acting on these decisions, the panchayat has directed Errichter Infra Pvt. Ltd. to submit its explanation within 15 days from receipt of the notice, stating why the NOCs should not be revoked.
The notice further warns that failure to respond within the stipulated time may result in revocation of the permissions without any further communication or hearing.
Officials said the action has been taken based on resolutions adopted in statutory meetings and gram sabha proceedings reflecting local concerns over the proposed land development.
