Old Goa: Chumbharjua MLA Pandurang Madkaikar has said that he was keen to contest the upcoming assembly elections scheduled for February 2022.
“It is up to the party to decide on my candidature, but I am keen to contest elections,” said Madkaikar.
A close aide of Madkaikar, Samil Valvoikar, had recently quit the party along with many supporters.
Volvoikar has claimed that Madkaikar did not provide any relief to Cumbarjua locals during the Pandemic time.
Samil Volvoikar made these statements after Cumbarjua MLA accused him of contesting elections from Cumbarjua to increase his bargaining power.
