PANAJI: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal today arrived in Goa on a two day visit ahead of assembly polls in the state scheduled to take place this February.
Kejriwal kicked off the ‘Door to Door’ campaign of the party at St Andre and Shiroda constituencies.
Kejriwal also exhorted party workers to take election campaigning as “an opportunity to serve people,”
Kejriwal said that the AAP was contesting the polls to root out “a corrupt party” and install an “honest one”.
Later on January 16, the AAP national convener will hold a press conference in Panaji.
According to the list, Valmiki Naik will contest from Panjim, Surel Tilve from Ponda, Gurudas Yesu Naik to contest from Marcaim, Pundalik Dhargarkar from Prenem and Vishnu Naik from Siolim.
Earlier, AAP had released its first and second list where 20 other candidates have been declared who would contest Goa polls in February.
With this AAP declared the names of its 25 candidates out of the 40-seated
Goa Assembly. AAP is all set to contest the Goa election for the first time this year.
Goa will go to the polls on February 14. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
