CORTALIM: Aam Aadmi Party national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal participated in door-to-door campaigning in Cortalim along with AAP leader Alina Saldanha on Sunday with the people showing a lot of enthusiasm over Kejriwal’s visit. Kejriwal’s door-to-door visit bolsters AAP’s efforts ahead of assembly elections.
While speaking to the media, Kejriwal said, “Our door-to-door campaign in Cortalim garnered tremendous response from the people who are eager for a change this time around. Because it has been either the BJP or Congress ruling Goa and they haven’t done anything for it in the last many years”.
“We have heard complaints from the senior citizens in Cortalim about not receiving their monthly allowances on schedule. If AAP wins, we will do our best to ensure that beneficiaries get their monthly allowance on time”, he added.
“The Goenkars here are aware of the changes brought about by AAP in Delhi. These people are familiar with the revolution in education and health infrastructure that has been brought by AAP. Cortalim people desire the same changes in their constituency. There is no doubt that all Cortalim pe
ople will help us to win this time”, said AAP leader Alina Saldanha.
The locals put forth their grievances with the Delhi CM and sought his help in changing their situation. Moreover, a lot of Cortalim people believe that Kejriwal’s six promises, which include free electricity and water, unemployment benefits, and a monthly allowance of Rs. 1000 to every woman ove
r the age of 18 will benefit them. Congress and the BJP have been given a chance all these years. This time AAP deserves a shot.
At the campaign, Kejriwal was accompanied by St.Cruz candidate Amit Palekar and AAP Goa Convener Rahul Mhambre.
