PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that Kadamba bus driver Elvis Rodrigues is suspended for driving a bus under the influence of alcohol.
“Kadamba bus driver Elvis Rodrigues is suspended for driving a bus under the influence of alcohol. if anyone is found will be directly suspended from the services,” said Sawant.
In reaction to the recent event in which Elvis Rodrigues, a bus driver for Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited, was discovered to be driving while intoxicated, Sawant issued a resolute statement.
Old Goa Police reported that the driver’s actions raised questions about the safety of the passengers.
Sawant threatened dire repercussions for such behavior. As a clear illustration, Elvis Rodrigues was suspended after the event.
The Chief Minister emphasized the zero-tolerance policy, which stipulates that any employee who is discovered operating a public transportation vehicle while intoxicated will be suspended without pay right away.
