PANAJI: First Level Checking (FLC) of EVMs-VVPATs which will be used for the upcoming General Elections to Lok Sabha, 2024, is scheduled from Oct 4 to Oct 13, 2023 at Government Polytechnic Gymkhana, Altinho, Panaji and Old Collectorate Building, Margao in South Goa.
Representatives of political parties representatives will take part in the FLC process. Chief Electoral Officer has convened a meeting with all National and State Recognised political parties in view of this and general preparedness for upcoming Lok Sabha polls tomorrow i.e. Sept 5 at 11.30 am at Goa Rajya Kar Bhavan, Altinho.
During the meeting, the Chief Electoral Officer will brief the political parties about First Level Checking (FLC) of EVMs-VVPATs, which is scheduled from October 4 to 13 at the Government Gymkhana, Altinho in respect of North Goa District and in the South Goa district, it will be held at First Floor, Old Collectorate building, opposite Margao municipal garden.
The Election Commission of India (ECI), New Delhi has been issuing instructions on First Level Checking of EVMs and VVPATs from time to time. The FLC of EVMs and VVPATs has to be donebefore every general or by-election to Assembly and Parliamentary Constituency or in any elections where EVMs and VVPAT are used.
The office of the Chief Electoral Officer has requested the political parties to depute their representatives to attend the FLC process.
