MAPUSA: Mapusa Police have filed a 2,306-page chargesheet against five accused, including three directors of Birch nightclub’s parent company, Being GS Hospitality Arpora Goa LLP, in connection with the alleged forgery of a Health Department No Objection Certificate (NOC) to obtain an excise licence.
The chargesheet names Saurabh Luthra, Gaurav Luthra, and Ajay Gupta, directors of the company, along with Gauresh Gawas, a Upper Division Clerk (UDC) in the Excise Department, and Dinesh Khera.
According to the police, the accused allegedly forged a Health Department NOC and used the document to secure an excise licence for Birch nightclub, thereby cheating government authorities.
Investigators have listed around 50 persons as public witnesses in the case. The chargesheet has been filed before the competent court, and further judicial proceedings will follow in accordance with the law.
The case pertains to the alleged use of forged official documents during the licensing process for the nightclub, which has been under investigation by Mapusa Police.
