Margao Police detected a burglary case in which several motors from a showroom at Goa ‘s commercial capital were stolen.
Three burglars from Margao, Maharashtra and Karnataka have arrested. Stolen motors worth Rs 2 lakh approx recovered.
On 05th Nov. Ghanashayam Kokodkar S/o Ranganath Kakodkar r/o Gogal, lodged his complaint to the effect that from 11.30 hrs. of 30th Oct. 2020 to 13.30 hrs. of 05th Nov. 2020, unknown accused person/s effected entry into his “Storeroom” of M/s Ranganata Sinai Cacodcar – situated in Virginkar building, opp. MMC Ground, Calconda, Margao Goa, by breaking window grill and decamped with two big motors of “Siemens Geared Motor of 2 HP – German Make – Blue Colour – 3 phase Electrical connection” and other small motors W/Rs. 1,99,000/- lakh approximately.
In this connection offence vide Cr. No. 212 /2020, U/s 454, 457, 380 of IPC was registered and the investigation of the case was taken up by PSI Stanley Gomes of Margao Town PS under the supervision of PI Margoa Town PS. The LIB Staff of Margao Town Police Station, received reliable information from sources that one Sahil Patil and one Rupesh Saha who are from Old Station Road area, were seen loitering near the Storeroom / Godown.
Accordingly, both the persons were picked up and brought to the Police Station and interrogated, wherein they disclosed their involvement.
Accordingly, the two persons namely (1) Sahil Patil S/o Lahushanker Patil, aged 22 years of Old Station Road, Margao and native of Dadar Village, Pen Taluka, Maharashtra and Rupesh Saha S/o Rajkumar, aged 19 years of Old Station Road, Margao, were placed under arrest and further from their possession all the stolen property was recovered which was kept by them hidden in a isolated building near Victor hospital. They also disclosed name of one another person namely “JCB” as their accomplice in the present crime. Accordingly the said accused Sanath s\o Devendra Kumar aged 23 years r\o Old Station Road Margao and native of Suratkal Mangaluru Karnataka was placed under arrest on 6th Nov. 2020 at 10.45 hrs and kept in PC.
The case was detected within 3 hours of registration.
PSI Stanley Gomes, HC N. Shamir, HC Dilkush Velip, PCs Goraknath Gawas, Vishal Prabhu, Kalpesh Kholkar, Prajoyt Velip, Vishal Prabhu and Orlando Fernandes took part in the investigation and recovery under the supervision of PI Margao Town PS Sachin S. Narvekar, under the guidance of Shri. Sahil Sarangal, IPS SDPO Margao.
