Team Goemkarponn
FATORDA: Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has dismissed speculation over a possible alliance between the Goa Forward Party (GFP) and the BJP, alleging that “sponsored stories and planted questions” are being circulated to create confusion among the people of Goa.
Referring to the onset of the monsoon, Sardesai remarked, “The monsoon has arrived, and so have the frogs croaking in chorus,” while questioning whether narratives about a BJP-GFP tie-up were being deliberately spread to mislead Goans.
He asserted that “real Goemkars are not fools” and argued that a party which has consistently opposed issues such as 39A, the coal corridor, environmental destruction, alleged job scams and what he described as “the most corrupt government in the history of Goa” could not suddenly join hands with the BJP.
Sardesai maintained that the GFP has consistently taken positions against these policies and decisions, making any suggestion of a political understanding with the BJP inconsistent with the party’s stand.
Appealing to the public, the Fatorda MLA urged people not to fall prey to what he termed “political joint ventures and manufactured narratives,” adding that “Goa deserves honesty, not propaganda.”
