CANACONA: Stating Modern technology instead of being a ‘boon’ had become a ‘bane’ Goa Financance Commission Chairman Daulat Hawaldar said as due to this very modern technology communication is lost between students, parents and teachers.
Hawaldar was speaking at the 90th Foundation day of Shree Shradhanand Vidyalaya in Poinguinim. Speaking further Hawaldar asserted that Communication between Parent and child is lost. ‘The thinking power of the students has decreased. Today’s students have become more apathetic than smart. Frauds taking place in the most advance manners have created confusion in the minds of the youth.’
However, Finance Commission Chairman Daulat Havaldar expressed the opinion that if we want to maintain the richness of our culture, it is necessary to use modern technology, the least.
Dy. Collector (Sanguem) Milindra Velip, who is an alumnus of Shri Shradhanand Vidyalaya, was present as the guest of honor, while President of the schools management (Shri Sharadhanand Gyanprasarak Mandal) Sunil Paigankar, President of the Parents Teacher Association Venkatarai Naik, School Headmistress Seema Prabhugaonkar were present on the Dais.
The meritorious students were felicitated by the chief guest at the ceremony. Among them, Nitisha Naresh Redkar, who came first in the 10th examination in March 2023, Yash Vasudev Pai, Samrat Awardee Riddhi Ashitosh Kamat, Best Student Pranav Khushali Velip, Maria Afonso, Pratik Guruprasad Prabhugaonkar who excelled in work experience, Maitriya Chinmaya Amshekar who excelled in music, Shreyash Rajesh Pagi, Shraddha Uday Chiri, who gained expertise in the field of sports and art. Shloka Gaurish Bhandari, the outstanding student of the school, Prachi Sandesh Metri, who has mastered the subject of computer, Ashna Mahadev Desai, who stood first among teachers’ children in the 10th examination in Canacona taluka, Harsh Arun Painginkar, the well-behaved 10th student, Sarthak Rajendra Chari, the outstanding artist, Samyukta Ram Pagi, who received the Bharat Mata award, Shraddha Uday Chari, meritorious student Nitesh Parasuram Gaonkar, Sadhvi Vasudev Kamat, Saraswati Gopal Siddhi and other students of class 10 were felicitated by the chief guests.
After the welcome song performed by the school students, Principal Seema Prabhugaokar welcomed the gathering and Management Chairman Sunil Paingankar gave the introduction. Moderated by Sanket Warik, Swati Kamat, Carol Fernandes, Harshada Sukdakar. Premanand Pagi propsed vote of thanks.
