VASCO: Nationalist Congress party, Goa (NCP) to field 10 to 15 candidates for assembly election 2022. NCP is eyeing the winable, good candidates with the best social background, says NCP Goa president Jose Philip D’Souza.
During an induction ceremony in Vasco, NCP Goa president Jose Philip D’Souza said that Dr Subhash Prabhudesai from Shiroda joined NCP. Prabhudesai has a good rapport and social work experience in the Shiroda area. D’Souza urged locals of Shiroda to vote for his candidate and assured them that NCP was ready to give a good fight in this election.
When questioned about his invitation to Former Congressman Alexio Reginaldo, D’Souza said that NCP wants good, winnable candidates who have good social backgrounds and rapport with the people.
When asked more, D’Souza said that people are fed up with BJP, and therefore, they will vote for NCP as people feel NCP is an option. We will field 10 to 15 candidates for the assembly election.
There are several issues with which people are troubled, such as unemployment, poor facilities etc. D’Souza also said that the present MLA and a minister of the Dabolim constituency are hard to find in his constituency. People have elected him to serve them and give attention to their issues. We must not forget that voter is the king in the democracy,” Dsouza added.
